Working with the IT Security Manager on GRC and DFIR, but also threat hunting, investigation and remediation, liaising with external parties, our directors and executive team as part of investigative work and policy creation, adjustment and project work, and managing team systems and server hardware and documentation creation.

IT Security Officer at Aston University - 2018 - 2023
Working with the IT Security Manager on Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and with our analysts on Threat Intelligence and Threat Hunting I work to eliminate or mitigate risks to the University, as well as foster a culture of security;- advising our staff and students to provide them the tools to recognise and report threats to Aston University. I work to build relationships with people across all disciplines and look for ways to effectively communicate our craft in a way everyone can understand.

IT Support Engineer at Aston University - 2014 - 2018
Continued to provide tier 2 support, carrying out tasks such as liaising with our users to resolve problems and research, plan and implement solutions. This has included fully planning, testing and performing an upgrade to business-critical systems and upgrading endpoints to work with the upgraded backend.
